Click the text box to which you want to add text. The slide element is immediately surrounded by selection handles (tiny square boxes at each corner of the text box). |
Type the text you want. |
INTRODUCTIONMany of PowerPoint's slide layouts include text boxes with placeholder text. This placeholder text gives you an idea of what type of text to add to the slide, such as a title or subtitle. You replace the placeholder text with your own text. |
TIPMaking Mistakes If you make a mistake while typing slide text, press the Delete key to erase characters to the right or press the Backspace key to delete characters to the left of the insertion point. |
TIPUsing Outline View You can also use Outline view to replace placeholder text. See Part 3, "Building Presentations Using Outline View," to learn more. |
