Part 6. Changing the Appearance of Slides

As you build your presentation, you might need to make changes to the appearance of your slides, such as changing backgrounds or adding header and footer text. PowerPoint offers a variety of ways to customize your slide's overall appearance. You can alter the slide's color scheme, for example, and even choose from an array of pre-coordinated schemes specially prepared by color professionals.

You can also customize slide backgrounds by assigning solid colors, patterns, and textures. You can even turn a picture into a slide background.

When making changes to the appearance of your slides, make sure your backgrounds do not conflict with the message text. You may need to make adjustments to text fonts, sizes, and styles to make sure slide text remains legible and easy to read.
