INTRODUCTION

You can apply a color pattern or texture to the slide background to create yet another choice of slide backgrounds. The Fill Effects dialog box offers a variety of textures and patterns you can apply.

HINT

Caution

Use caution when applying textures to your slides. Choosing a busy background texture can make your slide text difficult to read. You might need to adjust the boldness, color, or font size to remedy the situation, or try another texture. See Part 4 to learn more about working with slide text.

TIP

Changing the Text Color

If you choose a texture or pattern that makes your slide text illegible, you can try changing the text color to alleviate the problem. See Part 4 to learn how to change the color of text in a text object.
