Text within drawing objects is not automatically resized to fit; you must either reduce the size of the text or enlarge the drawing object by clicking and dragging the sizing handles. To adjust text placement, you have to use all the formatting options at your disposal to get the effect you want?the alignment buttons, paragraph marks, tabs, nonbreaking spaces (Ctrl+Shift+spacebar), and so on?and move the text where you want it.
Make sure you've specified that drawing objects should be printed. Choose Tools, Options; click the Print tab; and then check the Drawing Objects check box, if it is not already checked.
Some printers have graphics settings that override Word's options. Check your printer settings by choosing File, Print, and then clicking the Properties button on the Print dialog box.
