Summary

In this chapter we introduced cellular systems radio interface fundamentals. We expect this to be a basis providing an understanding of the systems capabilities, and terminology as we will use the numbers, references, and acronyms in the ensuing chapters. In the next chapter we will address cellular systems core network aspects to complement the discussion in this chapter and prepare for the second part of the book.
