Conventions Used in This Book

The following typographic conventions are used in this book:

Italic is used for:

  • Pathnames, filenames, program names, and utilities

  • Internet addresses, such as domain names and URLs

  • New terms where they are defined

Constant width is used for:

  • Command lines and options that should be typed verbatim

  • Names and keywords in C# programs, including method, variable, and class names

  • Events, event handlers, objects, properties, classes, methods, controls, values, operators, and namespaces

  • Code samples

  • XML element tags
