It can be very difficult to identify the location and problem when an application is performing badly. The IISState application can help by monitoring the InetInfo.exe application and all its threads, recording the time spent by each thread in the various modes (user, kernel), and recording stack information for each thread.

IISState is primarily for use with ASP and DCOM issues and, as such, requires the use of additional tools and libraries from the Microsoft Debugging Tools package (available at http://www.microsoft.com/ddk/debugging).
