Zooming in and out
Dreamweaver lets you zoom in on or out from a document so that you can check the pixel accuracy of graphics, select small items more easily, design pages with small text, design large pages, and so on.

The zooming tools are only available in Design view.

To zoom in on a page:
- Select the Zoom tool (the magnifying glass icon) in the lower-right corner of the Document window.
- Do one of the following:
- Click the spot on the page you want to magnify until youve achieved the desired magnification.
- Drag a box over the area on the page that you want to zoom in on and release the mouse button.
- Select a preset magnification level from the Zoom pop-up menu.
- Type a magnification level in the Zoom text box.

You can also zoom in without using the Zoom tool by pressing Control+= (Windows) or Command+= (Macintosh).

To zoom out:
- Select the Zoom tool.
- Press Alt (Windows) or Option (Macintosh) and click on the page.

To edit a page after zooming:
- Select the Pointer tool (the pointer icon) in the lower-right corner of the Document window, and click inside the page.
To pan a page after zooming:
- Select the Hand tool (the hand icon) in the lower-right corner of the Document window.
- Drag the page.
To fill the Document window with a selection:
- Select an element on the page.
- Select View > Fit Selection.
