This section applies only if your web server is running on a remote computer. If your web server is running on the same computer as Dreamweaver, skip to Creating a database connection.
Before attempting to connect to the sample database, copy the database to the remote computers hard disk. If you installed Dreamweaver to its default location, the path on your local hard disk to the database file (tutorial.mdb) is as follows:
You can place the file in any folder on the remote computer, or you can create a new folder for it. In either case, write down the full path to the database file on a piece of paper.
NOTE |
|
There are potential security issues if you place the database file inside the Inetpub folder on the remote computer. Its better to place the file in a folder thats not publicly accessible. |
After the database is in place, connect to it. (See Creating a database connection.)
