The
pri=syslog equate shows the
initial priority assigned to the message (Section 25.10). This value is calculated once when the
message is first processed and changed each time the queued file is
tried. This pri=syslog
equate shows the initial value.
The pri=syslog equate is
displayed only for the sender. As of V8.10
sendmail, this equate is displayed only for the
recipient, and it shows the current priority as it changes with each
delivery attempt.
