The CD-ROM included with Advanced DBA Certification Guide and Reference for DB2 Universal Database v8 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows contains the following:

Sample scripts for monitoring and tuning your DB2 system

The version of DB2 on this CD-ROM can be used on Microsoft Windows® NT®/2000/2003. The documentation can be read on all operating systems supported by DB2 UDB. Some of the scripts provided require Perl or are shell scripts intended for Linux and UNIX environments.

A setup window will be opened by executing E:\DB2_ESE\SETUP.EXE. As well as allowing you to take a tour of the product and install it, this window will give access to useful installation prerequisites and release notes.

The DB2 product supplied with this book will need to be reinstalled after 180 days and will expire permanently on June 30, 2008.
