Web Services

Web Services aren't strictly a new technology, nor are they new or unique to IIS 6 or, indeed, to Microsoft. That's really part of the point.

Web Services are an architecture and platform neutral method of providing access to services and of exchanging information between clients and servers, as well as between servers while executing a request.

Although Web services are not a new feature, IIS 6 does integrate more fully with the .NET Framework?of which Web service support is a significant component.
