Using Internet Key Exchange (IKE) with preshared keys for authentication of IP Security (IPSec) sessions is relatively easy to configure, but it doesn’t scale well. The process for configuring IKE preshared keys in Cisco IOS software for Cisco routers consists of four major tasks. This chapter looks at each configuration task in detail.
