Dr. Uwe Hohenstein is principal research scientist at Siemens Corporate Technology in Munich, Germany. His responsibility is to coach the efficient and effective use of database technologies in modern software architectures. He has gained experience with relational, object-oriented, object-relational, and XML database systems over the past 15 years. Based on this knowledge, he has published nearly 50 papers in the field of formal semantics of query languages, benchmarking databases, data migration, and federated database systems at international conferences.
