Summary

Many people dismiss database design as an unnecessary part of the development process. I couldn't disagree more. It is only with the strong foundation of a proper design document that the application design process can be successful. The steps in the design process include task analysis, data analysis and design, prototyping, testing, implementation, and maintenance. This hour briefly discusses each of those phases and gives you a solid idea of what each entails.
