Select the text you want to delete.
Press the Delete key on your keyboard.
PowerPoint removes the text.
You can delete text you no longer want to include on a slide, or delete text and replace it with new text.
Deleting an Entire Text Box
To delete an entire text box, first click on the border of the text box to select it, then press the Delete key. PowerPoint removes the entire text block from the slide. See the task "Adding New Text Boxes" later in this part to learn how to add new text blocks to your slides.
