Setting Calendar Options

Open the Tools menu and choose Options.

To change the default reminder lead time, click the down-arrow button next to the Default Reminder field and choose a new lead time.

To disable Outlook's default reminder option altogether, uncheck the Default Reminder check box.

To make other changes, click the Calendar Options button.

INTRODUCTION

Most of the default settings for Calendar work fairly well. If, however, you have a unique schedule (for example, if you have an unusual work week) or want to change other settings such as those related to reminders, you can do so using Calendar's Options dialog box.

To change the Calendar work week, add a check mark to each day that should be included and specify the first day of the week and year.

Change settings as needed, such as those related to how meeting requests are handled, in the Calendar Options area.

In the Advanced Options area, change settings, such as the time zone, as desired.

Click OK in the Calendar Options dialog box and again in the Options dialog box to close it.
