The Assets panel allows you to select multiple assets at once. It also provides a quick way to begin editing assets.
For some kinds of assets, such as images, editing the asset starts an external editing application. For colors and URLs, editing the asset lets you change the assets value in the Favorites list only. (You cant edit colors and URLs in the Site list.) For templates and library items, editing the asset allows you to make changes to the asset within Dreamweaver.

If an external editor doesnt open for an asset that needs to use an editor, select Edit > Preferences (Windows) or Dreamweaver > Preferences (Macintosh), select the File Types/Editors category, and make sure you have an external editor defined for the assets file type. (See Starting an external editor for media files.) |
