Comparing a remote file to a local file

You can compare a remote file to a local file. You must define a Dreamweaver site with remote settings before accomplishing this task. For more information, see Setting up a new Dreamweaver site.

To compare a remote file to a local file:

In the Files panel, display the files on the remote server by selecting Remote View from the right pop-up menu.
- Right-click a file in the panel and select Compare with Local from the context menu.

  If you have a one-button mouse, Control-click the file instead.
